Already know how to play Mahjong? Join us for Mahjong for Seasoned Players!

Mahjong is a traditional Chinese game using illustrated tiles, with game play similarities to rummy. It was imported to the USA from China in the 1920s and has since become popular all over the world. At Mahjong for Beginners, you will learn to recognize the different tiles in a Mahjong set and practice the basics of play. If you want to read the rules we'll be learning ahead of time, visit Tom Sloper's excellent "Simplified Mah-Jongg Rules for Beginners" FAQ at
